The average home price in the U.S. is $175,934.
In the report, HomeAout said that while the trend for modern decor is becoming more prevalent, the price of vintage house furnishings has risen since the recession.
The average price of a vintage house decor item has increased about $40,000 in the last five years.
The median price of an old-fashioned house decoration has gone up about $25,000, according the report.
The cost of a modern house decor has increased by about $35,000 over the same period.
The report also found that home furnishings are generally not for sale in most states, but prices are rising.

HomeAways report found that prices of antique furniture and art have increased in New England.
A lot of the older items have seen a bump in prices because of the recession, which is also affecting craft beer, wine, and other craft-oriented items.
In Connecticut, home decor sales rose slightly in 2016 and 2017.
However, the majority of homes sold were antique or used, according a recent report by the National Association of Home Builders.
